Karen Malina White Cast In Leading Role of “Camae” In The National Tour of “The Mountaintop” By Katori Hall

Allen Edelman Management is very pleased to announce Karen Malina White has been cast in the leading role of ‘Camae’ in the National Tour of The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, directed by Shirley Jo Finney. This tour, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s passing, will visit 37 universities and performing arts centers in the US and Bermuda between January – April 2018. Each tour performance will be followed by a post-show talkback with the audience and cast. Along with performing in the piece, actors will be asked to teach acting workshops and panels at select venues (workshop participants are mostly university theatre students).

Karen is best known for her work as a series regular “A Different World,” “Malcolm & Eddie,” “The Cosby Show” and “The Proud Family.” Karen delivered a standout performance in the feature film “Lean On Me,” and has made numerous guest star appearances on such television shows as “Shameless,” “The Middle,” “Mike & Molly,” and “How To Get Away With Murder.”
