The Annie Awards are animation’s highest honor, which the Los Angeles branch of the International Animated Film Association, ASIFA-Hollywood, has presented each year since 1972 to recognize excellence in animation shown in cinema and television. Originally designed to celebrate lifetime or career contributions to animation, the award has been given to individual works since 1992.
This year’s 50th Annie Awards will be held at 7pm at UCLA’s Royce Hall on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
“The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder” is a Disney+ original series, produced by Disney Television Animation. The animated family sitcom premieres Wednesday, February 1 with all episodes, only on Disney+
Karen is best known for her work as a series regular on The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder on Disney+, A Different World, The Proud Family original animated series, Malcolm & Eddie, and The Cosby Show. Karen delivered a standout performance in the feature film Lean On Me. She has been a recurring guest star on Ryan Murphy’s Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Tyler Perry’s Bruh, Better Things, Lodge 49, Animal Kingdom, Snowfall, and Kidding. Karen has also made numerous guest star appearances on such television shows as Cherish the Day, Shameless, and How to Get Away with Murder.
