Allen Edelman Management is very pleased to announce Karen Malina White has been cast in the leading role of ‘Camae’ in the National Tour of The Mountaintop by Katori Hall, directed by Shirley Jo Finney. This tour, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s passing, will visit 37 universities and performing arts centers in the US and Bermuda between January – April 2018. Each tour performance will be followed by a post-show talkback with the audience and cast. Along with performing in the piece, actors will be asked to teach acting workshops and panels at select venues (workshop participants are mostly university theatre students).

Their National Tours retain their distinctive audio-theatre format, but offer enhanced production values through performances without scripts, and additional production elements such as costumes, a full lighting design and intricately interwoven video projections. Tours are a key part of their mission both to use theatre as a means to explore significant social and historical issues and to inspire a love of theatre in the next generation of audiences.
